I saw a billboard that said: "Wind dies, sun sets, you need clean reliable coal energy".. they're really damn stubborn around here.
I also saw my first natural gas drilling platform thingamajig.
The St. Joe Minerals zinc smelting factory that my grandpa worked at has been sold to Shell to be used as a natural gas refinery (?).
The story behind this shotgun is as follows (or as I was told as a kid):
My grandpa drove Al Capone's wife around when she would come stay in St. Joe in the summers. He also supposedly would go get limes for Al Capone if he was in town. So Capone gave him a shotgun. Unk still has it, but it hasn't been used or cleaned in forever.
